Vortex Technologies built out a dedicated comms room directly outside the Vortex Data Centres NOC in Liverpool, installing structured cabling to 12 workstations, 8 monitoring screens, and CCTV, with fibre optic links brought in from the data centre floor below.

The Vortex Technologies network engineering team carried out the build of the comms room located directly outside the Vortex Data Centres NOC at the Liverpool facility. The room was designed to provide clean, accessible cable routing into the raised floor area and through the access panels in the NOC walls.

Structured cabling was installed throughout to serve 12 workstations, each with a computer and phone connection, along with 8 monitoring screens and a number of CCTV cameras covering the NOC environment. Cabling was routed neatly into cable containment and managed through floor penetrations to keep runs clean and allow for future changes without disruption.

Fibre optic cables were brought in from the data centre floor below to give the NOC team access to monitoring systems and internal services hosted within the facility. Racks were installed in the comms room to terminate and patch both the fibre and copper infrastructure serving the space.
