On-Site Digital Signage Migration - High School
A high school based in the North West moved from a monthly cloud-based signage subscription to a fully on-site hosted system. Mini computers were fitted behind each screen, bespoke signage software installed, and network cable run back to nearby comms cabinets - replacing ongoing subscription costs with a single one-off installation payment.
A high school based in the North West approached us looking to move away from their existing digital signage setup. The school was running a cloud-based signage platform on a monthly subscription, with screens displaying timetables, announcements, and general school information across the site. The recurring cost was a concern, and the school wanted to move to a solution they owned outright.
We designed and installed a fully on-site hosted signage system. Small form-factor mini computers were fitted directly behind each screen, keeping the installation tidy and removing the need for any centralised playback hardware. Bespoke signage software was installed and configured on each unit, giving the school full control over content across every display from a single management interface hosted on their own network.
Network cable was run from each mini PC back to the nearest comms cabinet, providing a reliable wired connection for content updates and remote management. All cable runs were installed tidily through existing containment where available.
The result is a signage system the school owns outright, with no monthly platform fees and no dependency on a third-party cloud service. Content is managed on-site, the hardware is on-site, and the school made a single one-off payment for the full installation rather than continuing to fund an ongoing subscription.
